By creating an account or using OurFamilyVault ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms form a legal agreement between you and OurFamilyVault, operated as a sole proprietorship.
OurFamilyVault is a private household wealth organizer that allows individuals and families to record, organize, and manage information about their assets, debts, estate documents, and contacts.
The Service is a personal organizational tool only. We are not a financial institution, law firm, accounting firm, or investment advisor. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal, financial, tax, or estate planning advice. Always consult licensed professionals for such guidance.
You must be at least 18 years old to use OurFamilyVault. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
You are responsible for:
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account password
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring the accuracy of information you enter
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You may not share your account with others or create accounts for other individuals without their consent.
OurFamilyVault offers paid subscription plans. By subscribing:
• You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the rate disclosed at signup
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel at any time through your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice to existing subscribers
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
You own all data you enter into OurFamilyVault. We do not claim any ownership over your household information.
You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter. We are not liable for decisions made based on information stored in the app.
You agree not to:
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service to store information belonging to others without their consent
• Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Attempt to overload or disrupt our infrastructure
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE.
YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OURFAMILYVAULT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR FINANCIAL LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OurFamilyVault and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to other users or the Service.
You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Sumner County, Tennessee.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
